Holden and Eug work on the first song. It is written in about an hour, and Eug then tracks the drums. Eug explains a bit about his process. TECH SPECS: All the drums are tracked on Holden’s “old” system, a Windows machine running XP. He uses Cubase to track the drums through a Yamaha mixer and Delta 1010 soundcard, and a Delta 2496 card, for 10 total inputs. It’s a shitty system by any “pro” standards, but it works. The tracks recorded are then transferred as OMF files to Holden’s “new” system, a MacBook Pro running Logic. Then Holden tracks the rest of the instruments using his Apogee Duet soundcard (bass, vocals, etc…).
